New Resources: Rigor, APB, and Formative Assessment

1/31/2014

Many of the great resources we shared at the Principals' and AP Conferences have been added to our website.

Resources related to Rigor and Academic & Personal Behaviors have been added to our CIE, QR and PD Planning Page.
We also added a resource created by Advance on Formative Assessment Strategies.  This can be found under Additional Resources - Advance.

Updated FBA/Bip Forms

1/15/2014

Beginning January 15, school-based and regional committees on special education (CSEs), and committees on preschool special education (CSPEs) should no longer use the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP) forms that are currently in SESIS.  All updated forms have been posted on our FBA/BIP Turnkey Materials page.

***In addition, CSEs and CPSEs must ensure that they are considering students’ needs for FBAs, BIPs, and positive behavioral supports in the manner required by NYSED by completing the Considerations for Positive Behavioral Supports form at every CSE and CPSE meeting and faxing the completed form into SESIS.
